Meeting Place for SDARI

SDARI meetings are held on the fourth Sunday of each month, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, at the Joyce Beers Uptown Community Center on Vermont Street, about two blocks north of University Avenue in the Hillcrest section of San Diego. See the maps below.

Directions to the Joyce Beers Uptown Community Center

• Via University Avenue

  From Interstate 5, go east on Interstate 8 and south on State Route 163 freeway; from Interstates 805 or I-15 go west on I-8 to 163 then south on 163.

  Once on south bound 163, take the first exit to University Avenue. Turn left on University. Go several traffic lights and turn left on Vermont Street. Go almost to the end.

  The Joyce Beers Uptown Community Center is at the right between the Aladdin and Terra restaurants. Please park in the underground lot or other spaces, not at the curb in front of the stores.

• Via Washington Street (no traffic lights)

  From Interstate 5, go east on Interstate 8 and south on State Route 163 freeway; from Interstates 805 or I-15 go west on I-8 to 163 then south on 163. From the South Bay, take I-5 north to 163 north.

  Once on south 163, take the second Washington Street exit, for EAST bound Washington Street. At the end of the ramp go right to Washington Street. If coming north on 163, take the Washington Street exit which is east bound only.

  On Washington Street proceed east under the blue pedestrian bridge then take the first right turn (sharp right) which leads to Richmond Street.

  Proceed on Richmond to the first intersection, Cleveland Street. Turn right onto Cleveland and proceed one block to Vermont (first stop sign).

  Turn right on Vermont. The Joyce Beers Uptown Community Center is at the right between the Aladdin and Terra restaurants. Please park in the underground lot or other spaces, not at the curb in front of the stores.
